French style stoneware jardiniere, floral relief detail c.1900

A stoneware jardinière in the French tradition — floral relief detail on a piece made around the turn of the last century, when decorative pots for plants and flowers were considered as important as the flowers themselves. The design on both sides is quite different, offering the opportunity to style it with or without contents. This was a very exciting find on a road trip in Worcestershire and we'll find it hard to part with.
