Most people can picture the home they grew up in. Amanda Plester can picture every wallpaper.

Every room of her childhood home was dressed from floor to ceiling in William Morris and Cole & Son — the wallpapers, the curtains, even the tea cosy. She can still picture her dad carefully trimming the margins from each roll of hand-printed wallpaper before it could be hung — a painstaking process that was simply part of the ritual, when decorating a room properly required patience as much as paint. And if a surface wasn't papered, it was almost certainly being rag rolled or stippled, because this was the 1980s and no cabinetry was safe.

Amanda's professional life has circled the same appreciation for what makes spaces special. From a mail order table styling business in the early 2000s to fifteen years spent running event styling companies, she has perfected finishing touches that transform every surface. Her curator's instinct is matched by an eye for beautiful, quality pieces that can be both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Always keepsakes, never throwaway trends.

A major life event in 2023 has taught her to treasure all that is special in life and brings her joy. And gratitude for what makes her heart sing is where Florrie found its natural home.
